Update on return to basketball from WCBA

ust a few things I want to remind or advise of regarding the return to the competition…

  1. We now have all 4 courts available at mill park but please keep in mind that they are still renovating so it’s important to follow instruction when entering and leaving with caution

  2. Vaccination- anyone over the age of 18 needs to be fully vaccinated but see below from BV

Basketball Victoria can confirm that effective immediately, all participants aged under 18 years will no longer have to show proof of their vaccination status to enter indoor basketball venues within Victoria.

The Victorian Government has announced as part of a number of eased COVID-19 restrictions, that as of Wednesday 15 December at 11.59pm, those under 18 years of age are now defined as excepted persons, so they hold the same status as somebody who is fully vaccinated as per the Open Premises Order

  1. We strongly advise that al venues abide by the no spectator rule due to capacity limits and the growing number of cases we have at present. Therefore 1 person per player is advised. Please notify parents/guardians of this

  2. Face masks must be worn except when playing or coaching etc..

  3. Grading is still in progress for the next 2 weeks but may extend another round. Please understand that there will be changes made so please check your teams and notify players and parents where necessary.
